Rahul Mahajan Biography

Rahul Mahajan is a noted television celebrity who gained quick attention with the reality show, Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega, the sequel of Rakhi Ka Swayamwar (2010) through which he found his bride, 25 year old Dimpy Ganguly. But he has always been in spotlight for the physical abuse and domestic violence to his wives. Earlier he was married to Shweta Singh in 2006. But the couple parted after two years as Shweta left him complaining about domestic violence. His second wife, Dimpy Mahajan also dumped him, alleging domestic violence, a few months after the reality show. Rahul Mahajan is the son of influential political leader belonging to Bhartiya Janatha Party, Pramod Mahajan.

He was born in Ambajogai, Maharashtra in 1975 to Pramod Mahajan and Rekha Mahajan. When his father Pramod Mahajan was shot by his uncle Pravin Mahajan, he came to limelight for the first time. He was seen comforting his family. So speculations were made that he will join politics. But it didn’t happen. He knew Shweta Singh 13 years before they got married. They got married in 2006. However the relationship didn’t last for more than 2 years as Shweta left him following his domestic violence.

When Rahul decided to choose his bride through a reality show, he came to limelight. Earlier he has appeared in 2008 in Big Boss – Season 2. The show, Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega was telecasted in NDTV Imagine in 2010 where 17 girls participated in the show. He married 25-year old Bengali model and actress, Dimpy Ganguly on 6 March 2010. But Dimpy left him in July. Rahul regularly appears in television reality shows. He along with Dimpy Mahajan participated in Nach Baliye season 5.
