Rahman Biography 
Rahman is an Indian film actor who has acted in more than 150 films in Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil languages. His debut film was Koodevide in 1983 in Malayalam. He was born on 23rd May 1967 in Abu Dhabi in Trucial States. His full name is Rashin Rahman. His native is Nilambur in Malappuram district of Kerala.
He studied at Naldwin Boys High School in Bangalore. He continued his education at St. Joseph’s Abudhabi in Abu Dhabi and then at Rex Higher Secondary School in Ooty and higher education at M. E. S. Mampad College at Nilambur. He married Mehrunnisa, the sister of A. R. Rahman’s wife, Saira Banu and has two children, Rushda and Alisha.
His first film Koodevide was a big hit. Then he acted in many films with Mammootty and Mohanlal. He concentrated in Tamil and Telugu film industry in the late 1990s. After a short break the film Dreams marked his reentry. His Tamil debut was through the film Nileve Malare. He acted with Sivaji Ganeshan in the film Anpulla Appa.
Some of his Malayalam films are Adiyozhukkakal, Parannu Parannu Parannu, Upaharam, Thammil Thammil, Ente Kannakuyil, Moonnam Pakkam, Mazhavilkoodaram, Black, Rajamanikyam, Mahha Samudram, Goal, Rock & Roll, Traffic, Kerala Café, etc. Some of his Tamil films include Nilave Malare, Pudhu Pudhu Arthangal, Athiradippadai, Nee Pathi Naan Pathi, Puriyatha Pudhir, Kalki, Vasantham, Sangamam, Billa, Balam, etc.
His Telugu films include Raasaleela, Bharath Bandh, Samaram, Commander Jyothi, Raputy Rowdy, Priyathama, Billa, Oosaravelli, Simha, etc. He played guest role in the films Aayiram Kannughal and Veruthe Oru Bhariya.
He received State Award for Best Supporting Actor for his film Koodevide. He got Film Critics Award and Chamber Award and Kerala Film Chamber Award in 1984 for Ithiri Poove Chuvanna Poove. His film Manjadikkuru got two awards in the 2008 International Film Festival.
