Raghav Sachar Biography

Raghav Sachar is an Indian pop singer who has also done playback singing for a few Bollywood movies. Singer and multi-instrumentalist who plays 32 musical instruments, RaghavSachar has released many studio albums and most of his songs are chartbusters. Occassionally he composes sound tracks for films including Hindi and Punjabi. He composed songs for Bittoo Boss and has made a cameo appearance for the movie - Tum Milo TohSahi. He is married to popular television actress AmitaPathak since January 2014. They got married in a star studded wedding held at Hotel Sun-n-Sun in Mumbai on 21 January, attended by many filmy-television personalities. Amita is the daughter of producer Kumar Mangat.


RaghavSachar was born on 24 July 1981 to R. K. Sachar and UshaSachar. He has two elder siblings. He started playing the music instrument harmonica, at the age of four. Since then, his parents gave him a music instrument every year and promoted his music talents. Both his parents are great listeners of music. Since school days, he is proficient in many instruments like drum and keyboard and has won several competitions also. He joined the rock band Canzona and was associated with it till he moved to Monash Conservatory of Music, Melbourne in 2000 for advance learning in music. He studied at the Berklee College of Music, Boston and has travelled many countries with his music shows.


Once he returned to India, he has worked with many leading vocalists and also rendered his voice for jingles. Raghav, For the First Time in 2003 was his first release. It was followed by a series of studio albums - Charming Lootera, KhoyaKhoya, Ishq Ki Subha, 24 Carat, Play It Loud etc. "RaatAkeliHai featuring Sophie Choudry is his latest release.
