Raaghav Chanana Biography

Raaghav Chanana is an Indian actor associated with movies, theatre and television. He is also known as a model and TV anchor. He plays the role of Prithvi Singhania, Aditya's cousin in the popular television series ‘24’, Indian version of American series with the same name. Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, Bollywood style musical, Yeh Hai Mumbai Meri Jaan, Girish Karnad's Wedding Album are some of his noted plays. He has also hosted several travel shows on television and has appeared in television ads. He has worked with leading theatre directors Roysten Abel, Sunil Shanbag, Atul Kumar and Rehaan Engineer.

He was studying Economics at LSE, when he realized that acting is his right career. Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, directed by Stephen Beresford was one of his earliest plays. The show was performed for 10 weeks in the heart of London's West End. Later he played the male lead of Bollywood style musical, Yeh Hai Mumbai Meri Jaan directed by Sanjoy Roy. He performed live in many countries with this musical including Belfast Festival at Queen's.

Later he directed Patrick Marber's Closer and John Donnelly's Bone, before starting his own theater company. Yet he continued as a stage actor with many leading directors. He associated with the veteran artist Girish Karnad for Wedding Album, and the play was directed by famous Lilette Dubey. He also appeared in several music videos, travel shows and ads. He also played a pivot role in Indian version of television series – 24. National award winning - ‘Lessons in Forgetting’ (2013) is his debut English feature film, where he played the supporting role. The movie also starred Adil Hussain, Maya Tideman and Roshni Achreja.
