Priyadarshini Pradhan is a former beauty queen, a super model and the title holder of Miss India 1987. She was India's representative in the Miss Universe 1987 pageant. She won two subtitles in Miss Universe Contest - Best National Costume Award and the Best Asian contestant (Press). Later she won ‘Miss World University 1989’, becoming the first Indian model to win this title. She also won the subtitles of Miss Photogenic and Miss Friendship. After doing an outstanding performance in India’s modelling industry and bringing fame to India through the subtitles she won at Miss Universe contest, she has done advertising campaigns for many leading brands in India and also appeared in music videos.

She was born in 1968. She dreamt to become an architect. If she has not participated in Miss India contest, she would have become an architect. After winning Miss India 1987, she represented India at the Miss Universe 1987 pageant and won two subtitles in Miss Universe Contest - Best National Costume Award and the Best Asian contestant (Press). Though she got bust with her modelling career, she completed a management degree on the insistence of her parents and later became an air hostess with Kuwait airlines and flew from the country.

In 1989 she won World Miss University India, which gave her opportunity to participate in Miss World University 1989. She brought the crown for the first time to India, with two sub titles too. She was also the second Asian to win the crown. She was chosen as U.N. Peace Ambassador for a year after winning this title. As a supermodel, she has done ramp walks for leading designers of the country and has endorsed many brands like Sunsilk, Bombay Dyeing, Camay, Rexona, Britannia, Gold Spot etc. She was featured in the music videos of 'Guzare Zamane', 'Miss India' and 'Once Upon a Time' and many television shows in BBC and other channels.
