Pravin Tambe Biography 
Pravin Tambe is an Indian cricketer who made late entry to First class cricket and IPL games. It’s really astonishing that this bowler entered first class cricket in 2014 at the age of 41, the same year when Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar hung up his boots at the same age!!! It’s surprising that a player who has never played even a single first class game got opportunity to play in IPL games, that too at the age of 41. He has been a member of Kanga league and Rahul Dravid impressed by his talent took him to his team in 2013. He is the oldest player to make an IPL debut.
Pravin wrote new history at IPL games 2014, by claiming a hat-trick against the champions – Kolkata Knight Riders on May 5, 2014 in Ahmedabad. He is a team member of Rahul Dravid’s Rajasthan Royals. Pravin Tambe picked up a hat trick of only 2 legal deliveries. Isuru Udana of Sri Lanka is the only other bowler who has done this miracle before (in 2010 IPL series). In two legal deliveries and one wide ball of the last over of his match, he claimed the wickets of Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan and Ryan Ten Doeschate. He earned his first man of the match award. He was one among the best bowlers of 2014 IPL season who also got the purple cap for the first time in his career, by becoming the highest wicket taker in IPL 2014. He is the only bowler in 2014 IPL series who has never conceded a 6. His economy rate is also best among the all bowlers and he is the first bowler to complete 10 wickets in four matches in the CLT20.
Pravin Vijay Tambe was born on 8 October 1971 in Mumbai. Since young Pravin wanted to be a fast bowler and practised fast bowling for many years. It was his Orient Shipping captain Ajay Kadam who asked him to bowl leg-spin. It proved to be the turning point of his career, though he was already 30+. His greatest achievement till then was to be named in the Ranji trophy probables for Mumbai in the year 2000. It is only 8 years since he changed from fast bowling to spin.
