Pratyusha Banerjee Biography 
Pratyusha Banerjee is a popular television actress who shot to fame with her debut series - Balika Vadhu. She stepped into the shoes of the teenager Avika Gor as grown-up Anandi in 2010, when the popular show took a five-year leap. Though she quit the show in the middle due to hectic job schedule, she returned back to TV shows, after the show – Bigg Boss. She was also featured in the reality shows – Bigg Boss 7th season and dancing show, Jhalak Dikhlaa Ja Season 5. After the show, Bigg Boss, she made a comeback to television soaps through - 'Hum Hai Na' where she played a modern girl, quite contradictory to her previous show, Balika Vadhu where she was seen in a traditional avatar.
She is a native of Jamshedpur, Jharkhand and she is of Bengali origin. She was born on 10 August 1992. Balika Vadhu in 2010 was her big break to television. Later she was seen in a series of reality shows as a contestant - Kitchen Champion 4, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5 and Bigg Boss 7. She was evicted on day 67 in the show Bigg Boss 7. There were reports of her fights with fellow contestant, Kamya Punjabi at the Bigg Boss House, though the actress denied the reports.
In 2014 she continued with television soaps and appeared in a modern avatar, Sagarika Mishra for the show, Hum Hain Na on Sony Television Network. Apart from a few cameo roles, she has acted in the popular shows like Gulmohar Grand, Comedy Classes and Sasural Simar Ka. She hosted a special segment on Savdhaan India and was seen in the shows - Power Couple, Kumkum Bhagya and Aahat in the recent times.
In January 2016, she approached the police alleging that four policemen barged into her flat at Kandivali and molested her. However, a police officer denied the allegation stating that the policemen went to place to trace Rahul Singh who stays with her, after a complaint has been lodged against both for manhandling a loan recovery agent.
She committed suicide on April 1, 2016 found hanging from the ceiling at her apartment by her boyfriend Rahul Raj.
