Prashanti Singh Biography
Prashanti Singh is an Indian sportswoman who plays the game of basketball for the Indian National Women’s Basketball Team. She represented India in the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
Prashanti Singh was born on 5th May 1984 in Varanasi in India. She joined the Indian women basket ball team in 2003 and was made as its captain. She led the team in the third Asian Indoor Games that was held in Vietnam in November 2009 and won silver medal in that event. She also won gold medal in the Asian beach games held at Sri Lanka in 2011. She is sponsored by IMG Reliance and basketball federation of India.
She has completed her graduation in arts from the University of Delhi and belongs to basketball family. She has four sisters namely Priyanka Singh, Divya Singh, Akanksha Singh and Pratima Singh among which the first one is a basketball coach and the last three are basketball players playing for Indian team.
