Prashanthini Biography 
Prashanthini, the daughter of the legendary singer Malaysia Vasudevan is a playback singer who predominantly works with Tamil cinema. Her brother Yugendran is also a singer and actor. Prashanthini shot to fame after singing the Tamil chartbusters - Mun Dinam Parthene from Vaaranam Aayiram, "Enamo Aedho” for Ko and Ayyayo from Aadukalam. Started her singing career with Punnagai Poove from 12 B (2001), she has rendered many memorable songs in the past one decade or so. She started her singing career at a very young age of 15. Prashanthini is to mark her debut as a music director with an untitled film directed by debutant Kevin. She has earlier done a few jingles. She wants to shine without being in the shadow of her father.
Prashanthini was born in September 28, 1983 as the daughter of famous playback singer Malaysia Vasudevan. Since then she is exposed to the world of music and she has closely observed her father working with veterans of this field. She made her singing debut for the movie 12 B (2001) and quite co-incidentally the song was released on her 15th birthday. Her debut song was - "Love Pannu". Later she took a break from her singing career and completed her graduation in computer science. In between she has sung a couple of songs for the movies. In 2003, she sang for the movie – Winner and in 2006 – Veyil. She got married in 2008 and after that she fully dedicated her life to singing.
The romantic track - "Mundhinam Parthene" for Varanam Aayiram composed by Harris Jayaraj was the turning point of her career. "Enamo Aedho” for Ko just followed the success of Varanam Aayiram. "Ennavo Panuthey" and "Agaramodu lagaram" for the movie - "Maha Maha" are her latest hits. She is to make her mark as a music director very soon.
