Pranav Mistry Biography 
Pranav Mistry is a young Indian computer scientist, known for the works – Sixth Sense and Samsung Galaxy Gear. Born in 1981, at a young age he is one of the successful IT personalities from India. At present, this genius is the head of Think Tank Team and Director of Research of Samsung. His research subjects include - Wearable Computing, AI, Augmented reality, Ubiquitous computing, Machine vision, Gestural interaction, Collective intelligence and Robotics. Most recently he has been chosen as Young Global Leader 2013 by World Economic Forum.
Pranav was born on 14 May 1981 in Palanpur, Gujarat. He completed B Tech in Computer Engineering from the Nirma Institute of Technology, Gujarat. Master's degree in Media Arts and Sciences from MIT and Master of Design from Industrial Design Center, IIT Mumbai are his additional qualifications in education. He was also a research assistant and a PhD candidate at MIT Media Lab. He joined Samsung electronics as the Director of Research in 2012 and introduced Samsung Galaxy Gear smart watch in September 2013.
His outstanding achievement is his work on sixth sense, for which he became a celebrity. Additional works related to sixth sense include – Mouseless - an invisible computer mouse, SPARSH – to copy-paste data between digital devices, Quickies – intelligent sticky notes that can be searched, located and can send reminders and messages and Blinkbot - a gaze and blink controlled robot. A pen to draw 3 dimensional images and a public map similar to Google are other inventions. For his researches on Sixth Sense, he was awarded with the Invention Award by Popular Science in the year 2009. His name has also been included in the list of top 35 innovators in the world under the age of 35 by MIT Technology Review TR35.
