Prajin Padmanabhan, popularly called Prajin is a VJ and noted actor associated with Tamil film industry. He is married to upcoming film actress Sandra Amy. They together worked in the movie – Sutrula in 2014. He started his career as a VJ with Sun TV and alter moved to film world. After playing numerous character roles since 2006, he got his first role as a lead actor through the Malayalam-Tamil bilingual film - Manal Nagaram, directed by Shankar Panicker, a leading film actor. An untitled Tamil film directed by Benny Thomas is his upcoming flick. Prajin is quite popular as a television actor and jockey than a film actor. He played male lead in TV series - Kadhalikka Neramillai and Anjali.

Prajin was born in Kozhikode into a Hindu family. He got married at a young age to actress Sandra Amy, while she was doing her graduation at Thiruvananthapuram. As Sandra is a Christian girl, Prajin didn’t get approval from his family at first. Later they went against their parents’ will and got married and settled. Sandra, a noted VJ and a graduation student then is a busy star of Collywood at present.

Prajin’s professional career started as a Video Jockey with Sun TV. Since 2006, he is active in television and cinema, playing minor and character roles. 2006 Tamil film – Dishyum is his first big screen appearance. Saa Boo Thiri, Thee Kulikkum Pachai Maram and Manal nagaram are his Tamil movies. He was also seen in Malayalam films - Tournament – Play & Replay and The Thriller. He made his television debut in 2006 with the series, Penn on SUN TV. Same year he played male lead in Anjali, television series, followed by Kadhalikka Neramillai. He has also participated in reality dance shows. He played a supporting role in Gokulathil Seethai.
