Pragathi Guruprasad Biography 
Pragathi Guruprasad is a Tamil playback singer from Fremont, California. She is equally verse in western and carnatic music. She was the runner-up of the reality-based singing competition Airtel Super Singer Junior – season 3. After her success in Super singer Junior, she gained stardom and a popular face. She has started playback singing and has already done projects with leading music directors like Anirudh Ravichander and G. V. Prakash Kumar.
"Rakku Rakku" and "Kankalil Kadhal" of Samarpanam, "Kalakku" of Panithuli, “Sangaade” and "Or Mirugam" of Paradesi, "Yaedho" of Yeadho, “Osaka Osaka” of Vanakkam Chennai, "Naan Naana" of Life, "Pada Pada Pattampoochi" of Pattampoochi Single and "Tamarai Kanna" and "Hari Hareye Namah" of Jaya Jagannath are a few among her noted songs. She became active in the industry with 2013 and now one of the youngest singing sensations of Tamil film industry. She also participates in lots of functions held across the globe and has already performed in many music concerts held at London, US, Toronto etc. Pragathi has recently sung her first single In Europe, titled Pattampoochi.
Pragathi Guruprasad was born to Guruprasad and Kanaka on September 14, 1997 in Singapore. She learnt primary lessons of carnatic music from her father, starting from age 5. Both her parents are lovers of carnatic music. At a young age, she got shifted to US where she continued learning carnatic as well as Hindustani styles of Indian classic music. She learnt veena also. Later she learnt Carnatic from Sangeetha Swaminathan. Besides singing, table tennis is her hobby. She also learnt Sanskrit so that she can speak and dictate Hindi and other North Indian languages easily. Currently she studies in California. She has numerous fans in social networking sites like twitter and facebook.
