Prachi Tehlan Biography

Prachi Tehlan is a very popular actress associated with Hindi television industry. She is also a netball and basketball player. Former captain of Indian Netball Team, she represented India in the 2010 Commonwealth Games. She also served as the captain of the team during several Asian Championships played during 2010-11. Under her captaincy, India won its first medal in 2011 South Asian Beach Games. She currently serves as the brand ambassador of Netball Development Trust- India since 2011, and is given the titles - “Queen of The Court” and “Lass of The Rings” by Indian media. Made her television debut in 2016, she currently plays the lead role of Susheel Parekh in Ikyawann, a show being aired on Star Plus since November 2017. She also worked in Punjabi and Tamil movies.

She was born in Delhi on October 2, 1987. She holds a graduation in commerce and PG Diploma in Marketing Management from IMT. She also holds MBA in HR and Marketing from GGSIP University, and also MBA in HR from Indraprastha University, both from Delhi. Since school days she was interested in basketball, and represented her school till National level. She attended Indian Camp thrice in 2004, in Cuttack, Orissa. She is associated with basketball and netball, and was a member of netball team which won gold at 54th National Games. She also remained as the captain of Indian baseball team and represented India at several international games. She has earned recognition in both baseball and basketball.

She made her acting debut in 2016 with the TV show, Diya Aur Baati Hum, on Star Plus. When she received an offer from Shashi Sumeet Productions, she accepted it and also reduced her 15 kgs to play the supporting role of Arzoo Rathi in the series. She played lead role in a couple of Punjabi films – Arjan and Bailaras, and currently plays the lead role in TV series, Ikyawann.
