Poonam Jhawar Biography

Poonam Jhawar is an Indian actress who is also a film maker and model. She started her acting career with the film Mohra in Hindi and this was a highly successful film. As her first film is a super hit, she some more chances to work in successful projects.

She was born on 14^th August 1976 in Mumbai in Maharashtra in a business family. Her mother Poojashri is a Hindi poetess and has written many books. She studied at Mumbai and started her career as a model in different assignments for various brands such as Killer Jeans, Paneri Sarees, Dove soap, etc. She appeared in the Debonair Magazine’s cover in the year 1995.

Her debut film Mohra was done with Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon and Sunil Shetty. The producers of this film spotted her in a shooting for television commercial and gave her the role of wife of Suniel Shetty in the film. She was greatly appreciated for her role. She had worked with some of the South Indian movies. She also acted in the music video by Ali Haider for the song Chand Sa Mukhda.

She acted in the film of Rajesh Kumar Singh, Aanch in 2003 in which the actors Nana Patekar, Paresh Rawal and Ayesha Jhulaika also acted. She received critical acclaim for this film. She appeared in the film of Bhuppy Lahri, Deewana Hoon Main Tera and The Black and White Fact. She completed on Marathi film Sansarch Maya.

She acted in the film 2G Radia-Tion based on Niira Radia in the lead role. She also starred in the film Muthbhed A Planned Encounter with Mukesh Tiwari and Sanjay Sharma. She appeared in some music videos too like Poo4u, Take Me Home Baby, Poo Kya Jalwa, etc. She is supporting Anna Hazare and his fight against corruption.
