Pooja Salvi is an upcoming Bollywood actress who made her film debut through 2013 romantic comedy hit - Nautanki Saala! She was paired opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in this movie. She acted in two more Bollywood movies the same year - Dostiaur Parivaar and Sapno Ke Aage and these three movies helped her to earn a nomination at Filmfare for best debutant female. She earned two nominations for Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress the same year too – Sapno ke aage and Nautanki Saala! Ab Kya Kareinge and Heropanti are her upcoming movies in which Tiger Shroff is the lead actor.

She was born in Patan, Gujarat in 1988. She started her career as a model and appeared in numerous television ads before making her film debut in a series of Bollywood films in 2013. Lux, Cadbury, Tata Sky and Francis Alukkasjewelers are her popular TV ads. Her first advertisement was directed by Rohan Sippy, in which she shot aside Aishwarya Rai. Her debut movie ‘Nautanki Saala’ too was directed by Rohan Sippy. Through she is a newcomer she surprised everyone with one of the longest kissing scenes of Indian screen in her debut flick.

As she doesn’t hold any film background, she didn’t have any idea of how film and modelling industry are working. So she visited Balaji telefilms to drop off a passport size photo at the office. She was not aware that a portfolio is needed. But she happened to meet a model there who taught her regular steps needed in the modelling industry. That’s how she got her portfolio done and entered modelling industry in 2007.
