Pooja Ramachandran Biography

Pooja Ramachandran is a film actress and VJ who works in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. She is a popular face of SS Music (South Indian music channel) where she appears as anchor. She hosted shows like PCO, Gana Bajaana, Connect and Cinema Central in SS Music. She was Miss Coimbatore 2004 and runner up for Miss Kerala 2005. She appears in supporting roles in movies as well. Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi, Love Failure, Pizza and Swamy Ra Ra are quite a few of them. She appeared in television ads at the age of 8. Pooja had also played a cameo in the Jayaram-Soundarya starrer Malayalam movie, Yathrakarude Sradhakku, which happened to be one of the last movies of actress Soundarya. She is the winner of Anu Alavum Bayamillai, first season telecasted in Star Vijay.

 
Pooja was born on 22 March 1984. She is also known by the names Pooja Gallyot and VJ Pooja. Her father is an army officer. She studied visual communication at the CSI Bishop Appasamy College of Arts and Science in Coimbatore. Before winning Miss Coimbatore 2004 title, she started doing modelling assignments. In February 2006, she became a Video Jockey at SS Music. She along with Anuj Gurwara, Purnima Maudgil and Gibran were selected winners from 3000 contestants participated in SS Music's pan-Indian talent hunt show VJ Factor 2.

 
She has hosted the show Ulagam Muzhuthum Paranthu Paranthu on Jaya TV. She has acted in television serial, Kanchana of Vijay TV also. In 2013, two of her Malayalam movies were released. In Lucky star, Jayaram played the lead role. D Company is an anthology of three independently shot action films. Her yet to release projects include - Adavi Kaachina Vennela in Telugu and Muni 3: Ganga and Ore Nyabagam in Tamil. She got married to Craig Gallyot, who also worked as a VJ at SS Music in two ceremonies. The first one was held at the San Thome Basilica and the second one at the Guruvayur temple.
