Pasupuleti Krishna Vamsi Biography 
Pasupuleti Krishna Vamsi is a film director of Telugu cinema. He won National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu for the movies, Sindhooram and Ninne Pelladatha. He won Nandi Award for Best Director thrice for the movies, Khadgam, Chakram and Chandamama. He won Filmfare Best Director Award (Telugu) thrice - Ninne Pelladatha, Anthapuram and Khadgam. He entered film direction field in the year 1995 with the movie Gulabi with J. D. Chakravarthi and Maheswari in lead roles and his recent release is Paisa in 2013. Now he is working on an untitled project with Srikanth, Ram Charan and Rajkiran in lead roles. Famous south Indian actress Ramya Krishnan is his wife. She has worked with him prior to marriage in Telugu movie ‘Chandralekha’, remake of a Malayalam movie with the same title.
Vamsi was born on 28 July 1962 in Tadepalligudem, Andhra Pradesh. His father named him "Venkata Bangaaru Raju". As his friends used to tease him, he changed his name to "Krishna Vamsi". He was adopted using Hindu tradition by famous musician Sirivennela Sitaramasastri. He completed graduation and Master’s degree before entering film industry. He started as a camera assistant, assistant to the editor and assistant director before directing his first movie, Gulabi in the year 1995. He has worked as an assistant to director Ram Gopal Varma.
Vamsi established his own production company, Andhra Talkies, in 1997 with Sindooram, the first movie, which won both Nandi awards and Filmfare awards for best direction. Later he has directed numerous commercially successful and award winning movies in Telugu. Danger, Rakhi, Sasirekha Parinayam, Mahatma, Mogudu and Paisa are his latest released movies.
