Parzan Dastur Biography

Parzan Dastur has been the most wanted child artist of television ads during the second half of 1990’s. No one can easily forget the Doordarshan ad of Dhara refined oil in which a little boy leaves home and returns home hearing about Jilebi. The innocent voice, Jilebi made him most cute child actor of small screen. As a child artist of Bollywood, he is most known for the 1998 blockbuster – Kuch kuch hota hai. He played the role of a Silent Sardarji in the summer camp of Kajol, teasing Shah Rukh’s daughter. Later he has been the part of Shah Rukh Khan movies like Mohabbatein (2001) and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001). Parzania (2005), Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai (2000) and Zubeidaa (2001) are other memorable roles as a child artist. As a teenager, his most noted movies are Break Ke Baad (2010) and the lead role of Sikandar (2009).

 

This child star was born and brought up in Mumbai. During middle 1990’s, he became a star of television advertisement world as a child actor. He made his big screen debut with Shah Rukh Khan – Kajol blockbuster – Kuch kuch hota hai. The movie was directed by Karan Johar. Though the role was small, his role was noticed and later he appeared in many Bollywood hits in brief roles. Mohabbatein, Kaho na pyar hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham among those movies. He played a cameo role of a mischievous kid in the plane in Hrithik Roshan’s debut movie – Kaho na pyar hai.

 

His first major role as a child artist was in Rahul Dholakia’s National award winning movie – Parzania. After a short break, he made debut as a teenager with the movie, Sikander. But the movie was a flop. At present he works behind camera as an assistant of Karan Johar, who introduced him to movies as a child artist. Karan has also offered him a role in his next movie.
