Parineeti Chopra Biography

Parineeti Chopra is an Indian actress who concentrates in the films of Hindi language. She entered film industry in 2011 and within a short period of time, won many awards and honors. She signed contract with Yash Raj Films for three films and all of them are commercial successes and this established her as an actress in Bollywood.

She was born on 22^nd October 1988 in Ambala in Haryana in a Punjabi family. Her father’s name is Pawan Chopra and her mother’s name is Reena Chopra. She has two brothers, Sahaj and Shivang. She completed her school education at the Convent of Jesus and Mary and she was a brilliant girl when at school and was the class topper always.

She got formal training in Hindustani classical music. Her ambition in life was to become an investment banker and to pursue her dream she got three honors degree in Business, Finance and Economics from the Manchester Business School at UK. However the economic recession of 2009 made it tough to get a job and so she has to return to India. She never has wished to become an actress.

She started her career in India as a PR Consultant in the marketing department of Yash Raj Films. At that time she got chances to watch the process of acting closely and her observation gave her confidence that she could do acting well.    

She was asked to do some sample acting by the director Maneesh Sharma in 2011 and the video was seen by the producer Aditya Chopra who was very impressed with her performance and booked her for next three films of their company. Her first film was Ladies and Vs Ricky Bahl. This film was not very successful though she was appreciated by the film critics for her performance.

She played lead role in the romantic film Ishaqzaade with Arjun Kapoor. This film turned out to be a super hit and the highest grosser sweeping 42.52 crores in three weeks. She acts freely that she fits into any role naturally. Her third venture with Yash Raj Films was with Varun Dhawan. She won many awards within a short period of time.
