Paresh Ganatra Biography

Paresh Ganatra is an Indian actor known for comic and supporting roles. He is a theatre artist who gained attention working for Bollywood as well as Indian television. He gained popularity as a comedian of Hindi cinema. No Entry, Rowdy Rathod and Shree are his noted roles. In television, he gained popularity as a comedian through Baa Bahoo Aur Baby (2009), Comedy Nights with Kapil (2013) and Comedy Circus 3 Ka Tadka (2009). He was first seen in Aamir Khan-Manisha Koirala starrer Mann, where he is seen as a comic actor who wants to marry Manisha. Though his role was short, it was a memorable one.

 

Paresh Ganatra was born on 19 February 1973 in a Gujarati family in Mumbai. He did his schooling from Lions Juhu High School, Mumbai and completed graduation from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics in 1986. Alter he studied at Management studies at Somaiya College, Mumbai. He has been active in Gujarati theater since college days. During the period, 1984 to 1992 he was more active as a theater artist. In 1999, he debut with Bollywood movie Mann. During this time, he started appearing in commercial ads, television serials as well as music videos. Ek Mahal Ho Sapnon Ka – was one of his earliest television appearances.

 

He appeared in a music video of Colonial Cousins and television ads like Symphony Air Coolers, Tata Phones, Coffee Bite, LG TV, Nerolac, Dabur and McDonalds. His second movie was Aakhen released in 2002, which placed him as a comic actor of Bollywood. No Entry, Welcome, Money Hai Toh Honey Hai and Delhi Belly are his most memorable movies as a comedian. In Rowdy Rathod, he played  supporting actor role.
