Padmaraj Ratheesh Biography

Padmaraj Ratheesh is an upcoming actor associated with Malayalam cinema. He is the son of popular actor of 1980s – Ratheesh. His elder sister Parvathy Ratheesh is also a successful actress right now, who made film debut opposite Kunchakko Boban in 2015, with the romantic movie, Madhura Naranga. Padmaraj made his debut with the Malayalam film Fireman (2015) where the male lead was played by Mammootty. He played a negative role in this super hit movie. He was also seen in Mammootty starrer Acha Din, which was not as successful as the previous one. Both the siblings made film debut in 2015.

Padmaraj was born to actor Ratheesh and Diana in 1989 in Thiruvananthapuram. He has four siblings. His father died while he was in his teens. Padmaraj graduated in Bachelor of Business Management and worked in a retail company at Coimbatore for a couple of years. At that time, Parvathy took a business job at an MNC at Bangalore. Both the siblings had to leave their jobs and return back to capital city to be with their ailing mother who was diagnosed with cancer. This stay in the capital city brought several bondings and relationships back, mostly related to Ratheesh’s friends of film field. Actor Suresh Gopi and producer Suresh kumar were among those. Very soon Padmaraj got debut to films.

His light-eyed face is similar to his father, who was known for his silver eyes in the industry. Same is the case of his elder sister, Parvathy. He played the negative role of a prisoner in Fireman (2015) which marked his successful film debut. He played the male villain which gained audience appreciation a lot. Padmaraj also preferred negative roles most, as his father was prolific in those roles and since childhood he has been impressed by negative roles than positive ones his father played onscreen.
