P. V. N. S Rohit Biography 
P. V. N. S Rohit, also called Rohit Naaga is a singer from Hyderabad and one among the three finalists of India’s top singing reality show Indian Idol aired on Sony TV. He finished as one of best three in the 9th edition of the show whose final show was telecasted on April 2017. Baahubali singer, L. V. Revanth – yet another south Indian was declared as the winner of the show. Though Rohit couldn’t win the title, he won millions of hearts and the show gave him a strong platform to pursue his music journey further. This 25-year old singer has a great voice and a great career ahead. He is known for his shy image in the show.
Rohit hails from Vidyanagar of Hyderabad and he was born into a humble family. Since the age of 10, he took formal learning in Carnatic music under the guidance of V. Balasubramanium. He also learnt light music from Ramachari. Similar to Indian Idol show winner - L. V. Revanth, Rohit has sung several songs in Telugu cinema before he tried his luck in the show. Similar to Revanth, he dreams to sing in Bollywood and hence worked hard on Hindi diction.
Rohit fought hard to reach the finals. During the early episodes he was not courageous enough to face the show. But slowly he emerged as the dark horse of the show, and won everyone’s heart including Sonu Nigam, one of the celebrated judges of the show. Sonu Nigam became his mentor for the show and strongly supported him.
Rohit went through some of the personal problems just before he joined the show. His mother was operated for brain tumour a few months before he auditioned for the show. He also lost several opportunities and also fell into depression when he heard about Indian Idol Auditions. By that time though he has sung a few Telugu songs, he was waiting for some exposure and that’s why he joined the show.
