Nishant Shokeen Biography

Nishant Shokeen is an actor and model who works in movies and television mostly portraying character and supporting roles. He has appeared in numerous television ads and is a popular face on small screen. He currently plays the role of Lord Krishna in the second season of Zee TV serial Choti Bahu. He was previously seen in popular television shows like Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Sa Aasmaan, Kahaniya Vikram Aur Betaal Ki, Yeh Dil Chahe More, Miss India, Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi, Kesar, Dehleez, Na Aana Is Des Laado, Hum Paanch, Mera Naam Karegi Roshan, K. Street Pali Hill, Durgesh Nandinii, Baat Hamari Pakki Hai, Jai Maa Vaishno Devi, Adaalat, Simplly Sapney and Bandhan.

He was born and brought up in Nangloi, Delhi. He graduated from Rohtak, Haryana. Though he has never dreamt to become an actor, since younger days he was interested in doing dances. Shiamak Davar, who was very much impressed by his dancing talents, invited him to join his dance school and it eventually led to his entry to acting field as well. Though he worked in Davar’s troupe for a short period, he felt that his destiny was something else and on advice by his dearest friend, he started attending auditions to become an actor.

‘Miss India’ which was aired on Doordarshan was his first television serial. In parallel he continued with his modelling career and some of his popular ads include – promo of Kaun Banega Crorepati, Innova with Aamir Khan and Aviva Insurance with Sachin Tendulkar. Since then he has been regularly featured in numerous television serials on small screen.
