Nikita Anand Biography

Nikita Anand is an Indian actress who got beauty queen award. She started her acting career as a model. She was born in 1983 in a Punjabi family in Jalandhar in Punjab. Her father is Brigadier S. S. Anand. He worked as a doctor in Indian army. Due to his frequent transfers she had to study in different schools.

She studied at St. Mary’s at Pune, Bishop Westcott Girls’ School at Ranchi in Jharkhand and Cathedral and John Connon in Mumbai and NIFT in New Delhi. She has one elder brother Jasneet Anand.

She participated in the beauty pageants and was crowned as the Miss Ranchi when she was just 13 years old. She won Femina Miss India contest in 2003 when she was studying in NIFT in Delhi. Her final answer about forgiveness gave her the crown. The preceding winner Neha Dhupia crowned her and Nikita Anand represented Miss Universe pageant in Panama City. She could not rank among the Top 10.

Ritu Kumar designed her ethnic dresses and national costume and Ashley Rebello designed her evening gown and western outfits. Dr. Sandesh Mayekar, Dr. Jamuna Pai, Dr. Anjali Mukherjee, Finesse Shoes, Sabira Merchant and IDEA all helped her.

Not only that she walked the ramp but also she anchored the television shows on cricket and fast cars. Her debut movie in Bollywood is Dil Dosti Etc. she was appreciated by Taran Adarsh for her performance. She worked in the film Ek Second… Jo Zindagi Badal De? She worked in Manisha Koirala and Zeenat Aman in the film Monopoly – The Game of Money.

She worked as a television anchor for some shows like Cup Talk on Star News, Lage Raho India on Star News, Nascar on Zee Sports, Cricket Tri Series in Malaysia and appeared in the TV commercial Dabur Vatika. She appeared as a model in the Passion for Color Show by Times of India, Bridal Asia Show 2003 and Femina Bridal Show 2004. She has worked with JJ Vallaya, Ritu Kumar, Mona Pali and Siddharth Tytler.
