Nikhil Mehta Biography

Nikhil Mehta is a popular television actor who portrayed the role of Pratham "Piddi" Punj in the most popular teen comedy show on Channel V - The Buddy Project. Apart from being a success actor, he is also a model who has appeared in many television ads. He is also a Video Jockey. Currently he appears in the shows - Big Magic TV Channel Show Boyz as Prateek Paswan, and &TV Channel Show Begusarai as Dolt. Started off his career in music, he later moved to acting. Parvarrish - Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi and Yeh Parindey are other noted television works.

He was born in Delhi in 1992. He belonged to a family with music background. His schooling was completed at Delhi. Later he moved to Mumbai to pursue studies in music. Thus he joined Ajivasan Music Academy of Suresh Wadkar in 2009. He also learnt dance from Shiamak Davar Academy of Performing Arts. He also plays the music instruments like Drums, Tabla and Harmonium. Mehta later started his career in music, and later his interest deviated to modelling and acting also. He studied theatre at Columbia University. He sang songs for the television series like Yeh Parindey, The Buddy Project and Boyz, where he appeared as an actor also.

He started off with his modelling career and has appeared in around 50 commercials. Cadbury’s Shub Aaramb – was his first TV ad. In between he concentrated on to his music studies too. His successful modelling career earned his an opportunity to work as a VJ for the show - Superstar Previews. He is a Brand Ambassador for ADAM'S Clothes. Yeh Haqeeqat Ha – on Doordarshan marked his acting debut. His music background has attributed a lot to his successful acting career in television.
