Nigaar Khan Biography

Nigaar Khan is an Indian television actress popular for negative shaded roles. She is the elder sister of note model and film actress, Gauhar Khan of Rocket Singh: Salesman of the year fame. Nigaar was born and brought up in Pune. Currently she appears in Hindi television series - Main Naa Bhoolungi and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. She plays the role of Sophia, the yoga teacher in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. She plays the role of Madhurima Jagarnath in Main Naa Bhoolungi.

She was born in 1978 in Pune, Maharashtra, where she spent her childhood days. Khan started her career as a model and was the finalist of the Femina Elite modelling contest. She moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in modelling and acting. Later she worked as a model for several Indian brands and also participated in fashion also. Besides doing cameo appearance in television shows, she debut small screen as an actress through Lipstick in 2002. She portrayed the role of Sheeta Singhania in this television series of Sony television. Prratima, the Indian television series that was aired on Sahara One channel in 2004 was her second appearance.

Later she appeared in television series like Yes Boss, Mitwa Phool Kamal Ke, Savitri, Buddha and Hongey Judaa Na Hum. She also participated in Sachkasamna in 2012. In 2013, Khan appeared on the reality show Welcome – Baazi Mehmaan-Nawaazi Ki. She is now a part of the success show on Colors TV - Comedy Nights with Kapil playing various characters. She along with her sister together appeared in a television reality show, The Khan Sisters on UTV Bindass.
