Ness Wadia Biography 
Ness Wadia is an Indian businessman belonging to the Wadia family. Currently he is the Managing Director of the Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation of Wadia Group including majority stake in Britannia Industries. He was the Joint Managing Director of Bombay Dyeing till March 2011. He has been in news since he dated the top Bollywood actress Preity Zinta. But the couple has parted in good ways though media keeps an eye on both. Wadia is a co-owner of the Indian Premier League cricket team Kings XI Punjab aside Preity Zinta.
He was born in a Parsi Wadia family on 30 May 1970. He is the son of Nusli Wadia and Maureen Wadia and grandson of Neville Wadia and Dina Wadia. He is also the great grandson of Mohammad Ali Jinnah, and Maryam Jinnah. Thus his ancestors belong to Gujarat. His younger brother, Jehangir Wadia, is the Managing Director of Bombay Dyeing and GoAir. Wasia’s schooling was done at Lawrence School, India and Millfield School, England. He studied International Relations at Tufts University, Massachusetts and did M.Sc in Engineering Management at University of Warwick. He was a management trainee of Bombay Dyeing while joining for M. Sc.
Wadia joined Bombay Dyeing in 1993 as a Management Trainee at marketing and retail distribution of the textile division of the company. He was active in several associations during this time. In 1998, he took a leave to do post graduation at a University of Warwick. He returned in 2001 and joined as Deputy Managing Director of Bombay Dyeing. Later he was promoted to Joint Managing Director the same year. He stayed in that position for 10 years till his brother took over that position. Now Wadia serves as director on the boards of group companies like Britannia Industries Ltd., Wadia BSN Ltd etc and also a director of Gherzi Eastern Ltd., Tata Iron & Steel and Tata Chemicals.
