Nellai Kannan is a well-known and influential orator and motivational speaker from Tamil Nadu. He is also a well-known television personality from the state, and associated with state politics too. He speaks on a wide range of topics from current affairs to politics, comedy and literature. One of the fiery speakers of present time, his easiness in handling Tamil language and well-versed in grammar and literature make him one of the top orators, with a celebrity status. He has a huge fan following crowd, yet some of his thoughts and speeches have invited controversies also. For instance: His opinion that great and influential writer & poet Subramania Bharati can’t be addressed as a Mahakavi has stirred a lot of hot debates and controversies.

Nellai Kannan was born on 17 January 1945. He hails from Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu. This well-known platform speaker of Congress joined AIADMK in 2006, in the presence of party’s general secretary Jayalalithaa. He actively campaigned for the party in the state assembly elections too. He delivers public speeches, and many of his videos uploaded in YouTube are viral over net. He talks in common man language and relates his thoughts with daily life situations and hence never disappoints his listeners. He has been invited to many foreign countries like Australia to deliver speeches on different subjects.

His spark comments about literals, social figures and film personalities have kept in limelight and controversies many times.
