Neha Joshi Biography

Neha Joshi is a noted young actress associated with Marathi film, theatre and television industry. One of the vibrant artists of Marathi cinema at present she plays lead roles. She started off with bit and minor roles in Marathi cinema. In 2009 she appeared in Pramod Prabhulkar’s comedy drama - Sundar Majha Ghar, where she shared screen space with veteran actors like Dilip Prabhavalkar and Vandana Gupte. She was also seen in 2013 Hindi film Jab Love Hua staring Rahul Roy, which was a box office flop. She participated in Marathi reality show Eka Peksha Ek Apsara Aali, which made her a popular figure in Marathi television circle, though she didn’t win the show. She gained attention as an actress and dancer through the show, in the presence of the celebrity judge Sachin Pilgaokar.

Among her television shows, she got noticed for the negative role of Rajni in popular Marathi serial ‘Ka Re Durava’ aired on Zee Marathi. She played female lead in the Marathi films – ‘Dream Mall’ opposite Siddharth Jadhav and Swapna Tujhe Ni Manjhe opposite Omkar Karve. In 2015 she also bagged two lead roles in the Marathi films - ‘Lalbaug Chi Rani’ and ‘Readymades’. ‘Zenda’, ‘Prem Mhanje Prem Mhanje Prem Asta’, Poshter Boyz’ and ‘Saturday Sunday’ are among her noted Marathi films. She played parallel lead aside Rakhi Sawant in the horror film - Bachke Zara bhoot bangle mein.

She was seen in Amol Gupte’s Hindi film ‘Hawa Hawai’ in 2015. Basically a stage actress, she most recently performed in the Marathi serial ‘Tu Tithe Mee’, where she essayed the mysterious character of Dr. Ms. Raje. She is good in literature and finds time to read books, though she is busy with her professional life. The actress feels that filmmakers should exploit Marathi Literature. She also enjoys watching Marathi plays of her friends.
