But the recent news is that they are to separate since they couldn’t take their relationship to next level.

Neelam Kothari spent her early childhood in Hong Kong. Later they moved to Bangtok. While she was enjoying her holidays in Mumbai, director Ramesh Behl spotted her and gave her the leading role in the movie Jawaani. Tina Munim’s nephew Karan Shah was its hero. The movie got released in 1984 was a big flop in Bollywood. Yet she stayed here and appeared in a few movies like Love 86, Andaz pyar ka and Ilzaam. Her movies opposite Govinda were successful and their pairing clicked. During the second half of 1980’s, Bollywood witnessed a lot of hits of this magic pair. They were young and fresh. While big stars were already old and most of them concentrated on family dramas, small stars like Neelam, Chunkey Pandey and Govinda were benefitted most and the late 80’s of romantic movies exclusivily belong to these three actors. She was successful with both these actors.

But 90’s saw the come down of Neelam’s career graph. In 1990, she became a part of Amitabh Bachchan’s Agnipath. Farz ki jung was also a hit. In 1991, she got two big movies – Indrajeet and Afsana Pyar ka. She was paired opposite Aamir Khan in Afsana pyar ka. The song ‘Tip tip’ was huge hit that time.
