Navya Nair Biography 
Navya Nair is an Indian actress who has acted in Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada films. She is the proud winner of Kalaithilakam award in the Alapuzha District Schools Youth Festival. She was born in Muthukulam in Alleppey District of Kerala, in the year 1984. Her real name is Dhanya Nair. Her father is Rajan working in Telecom industry and her mother is Veena, working as a teacher in M. S. M. Higher Secondary School.
She finished her higher secondary in MSM Higher Secondary School, Kayamkulam and then got her graduation in English literature. Her debut film was Ishtam and she acted in this film when she was studying tenth standard. Director K. Madhu is her uncle. She was accused of cheating during her higher secondary final exams. She married Santhosh Menon, Mumbai based businessman on 21st January 2010. She has one child Sai Krishna born on 22nd November 2010.
She was a trained dancer in her younger days. Her first movie Ishtam with Dileep won her lots of admirers. Her second film was Nandanam in 2002 opposite Prithviraj which established her career as a good actress. Her Tamil debut film was Azhagiya Theeye which made a good impact in the minds of Tamil people. She won Kerala State Award for the Best Actress for her film Nandanam and for her film Kanne Madanguka and Saira.
Some of the films that she acted are Amirdham, Chidambarathil Oru Appasamy, Pasakkiligal, Azhagiya Theeye, Mayakkannadi, Aadum Koothu, Rasikum Seemane, etc. in Tamil and Mazhathulikkilukkam, Nandanam, Kalayanaraman, Vellithira, Pattanaththil Sundaran, Sarkar Dana, Pandippada, Immini Nalloraal, AliBhai, Kalabham, SMS, Calendar, Kerala Café, Violet, Yugapurushan, etc. in Malayalam and Gaja and Boss in Kannada. She won Asianet Award for Best Actress for her film Nandanam.
