Nathalia Kaur Biography

Nathalia Kaur is a Brazilian model and actress who has worked in a few Indian movies. She has also done special appearance in a few Hindi and south Indian movies. The Kannada movie, Dev Son of Mudde Gowda released in 2012 marked her big screen debut, where she appeared in supporting role aside Diganth, Charmee Kaur and Ananth Nag.

Nathalia Pinheiro Felipe Martins, better known here as Nathalia Kaur, lived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil before she reached India. Her father is half-Indian of a Punjabi Rajput family and her mother, a Portuguese. She came to India for modelling. She didn’t belong to any artistic background and hence her family wanted her to complete education before joining entertainment industry. She started modelling in Brazil, with education side by side. She got modelling offers from Milan, Turkey, New York etc. One day, she got a modelling assignment from India and quickly said yes without thinking twice. When she reached India, she noticed that Indian people do respect actors a lot and a simple smile can make them happy. She is extremely pleased with the way people behave here with celebrities and now she is a part of Indian entertainment industry.

As she realized that her surname is difficult for Indians to pronounce, she changed it to Kaur. It was Ram Gopal Varma who rechristened her as Nathalia Kaur. She also appeared in one item song of Ram Gopal Varma movie, Department. The song was Dan dan, which was actually kept for Sunny Leone. But due to a contract, Sunny couldn’t accept the role and it eventually went to Nathalia. When she reached India, she won the Kingfisher Calendar Model Hunt in 2012 and appeared in the Kingfisher Swimsuit Calendar that year.
