Natarajan Chandrasekaran Biography 
Natarajan Chandrasekaran was born in Namakkal district of Tamilnadu State in 1963. N. Chandrasekaran is one of the senior most Indian business executives Joining TCS in 1987, he has been with TCS from the beginning of his career. Chandrasekaran is currently working as CEO and managing director of Tata Consultancy Services. Chandrasekaran took over as CEO on October on 6, 2009 and prior to that prior to he was CEO and Executive Director of TCS. 52 years old Chandrasekaran is one of the youngest CEOs of the Tata Group and earns a sum of more than Rs. 220 million per year.
Natarajan Chandrasekaran completed his Masters in Computer Applications from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu, India in 1986 after obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Applied Sciences from the Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
Chandrasekaran has been conferred with honorary doctorate for his significant contributions toward business and society by Nyenrode Business University, Netherlands. Chandrasekaran is a senior member of Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and an active member of Computer Society of India and British Computer Society. He was awarded the Management Man of the Year 2013 Award from the Bombay Management Association.
He was nominated as the Chairman of Indian IT industry body NASSCOM in April 2012. Chandrasekaran has also been appointed as the Chairperson of the IT Industry at the World Economic Forum, Davos for the duration 2015-16. Chandrasekaran has been voted as one of CNBC TV 18 Indian Business Icons and he was awarded CNN- IBN Indian of the Year 2014 in business category. Chandrasekaran has been selected the “Best CEO for 2014” by the prestigious journal, Business Today.
Chandrasekaran loves photography as a hobby and music is his passion. He is a long-distance runner and has completed marathons in Amsterdam, Prague, Stockholm, Salzburg, Boston, Chicago Berlin, Mumbai, New York and Tokyo.
