Narinder Biba Biography 
Narinder Biba was a very popular female folk singer from Punjabi, known for singing romantic songs and Punjabi folklore. She has been a respectful folk artist from 1960s to 1990s, till her death in 1997. Her duets with popular Punjabi singers, Harcharan Grewal, Muhammad Sadiq, Didar Sandhu, Karnail Gill, Ranbir Singh Rana, Gurcharan Pohli etc are quite popular. She has sung many popular songs written by leading Punjabi lyricists - Dev Tharikewala, Babu Singh Maan and Inderjeet Hasanpuri. She used to organize melas for Sikh prayers. She has also done playback singing for a few Punjabi films. She won Best singer award for the movie, Teri Meri Ik Jindri produced by her cousin.
She was born on 13 April 1941 in East Punjab. She was married to Jaspal Singh Sodhi. She started her career with very famous Punjabi singer Jagat singh Jagga. Very soon her brothers too followed her footsteps. She was fondly called - Biba Ji. She promoted young singers who failed test recording on HMV. Kuldeep Manak was one among those names who became popular later. She sang many popular duets with almost all leading singers of her time. She was first Punjabi Singer who took her Bhangra Group singers to European countries and promoted Punjabi folk. She has performed in US, Britain and many other foreign countries.
Some of her popular songs are - Aah Lai Maaye Sambh Kunjian, Wadhaiyan Bibi Tainu, Ladoo Khaa Ke Turdi Ban, Chann Mata Gujri da, Do Bariyan Keemti Jindan, Paase Hatt Ja Jalma Punjaban Jatti Aayi, Sheher Lahore Ander, Mata Gujri Nu Devo Ni Wadayian, Kall Na Javin Khet Nu etc. Every year, Narinder Biba Yaadgari Sabhiacharak Mela is organized in Sadiqpur village in her memory.
