Narayan Lucky Biography

Narayan Lucky is an actor associated with Tamil cinema, who started off playing lead roles and later moved to character and supporting roles. He made his onscreen debut with the lead role in the campus film Inidhu Inidhu (2010), which was a box office failure. It was a remake of successful and award-winning 2007 Telugu film Happy Days, produced by Prakash Raj and directed by K. V. Guhan, where Narayan played one of the parallel leads. The movie also included Adith Arun, Vimal, Sharran Kumar, Reshmi Menon, Sonia Deepti and Anjala Zaveri. But later he got recognition as a supporting actor, through Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (2012).

 

With a promising career, he has 6 Candles and CSK lined for release. The delayed project Boologam was released in 2015. He is to debut Malayalam with ‘Bad Boys’. A drug addict in the bilingual thriller – Payanam and Trisha's boyfriend in Samar are among the noted roles he played following his debut. But it was the role of Hansika's boyfriend in Oru Kal Oru Kannadi which earned him quick recognition. The role was a big hit that he was even referred to as the OKOK guy. The role was originally written for Jiiva.

 

It was his elder brother who inspired him to become an actor. His brother appeared as Madhavan’s friend in 2000 hit of Mani Ratnam, Alaippayuthey. Since then he too dreamt to become an actor. He completed MBA and worked as marketing head of INOX multiplex for Chennai operations, which helped him to come in contact with many film fraternities. He quit his regular job to join the film scene. But his debut film Inidhu Inidhu (2010) was a box office failure. Later he moved to supporting roles which made him successful. He wants to do meaningful characters irrespective of main lead or villain roles.
