Nakuul Mehta Biography

Nakuul Mehta is a successful television actor, most known for the protagonist role he played in Rajashree production’s daily soap aired on Star Plus - Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara. He was paired with debutant Disha Parmar in this television series. He debut Bollywood with Haal–e–dil in 2008, which was declared as the first major flop of the year. This love triangle also marked the career beginning of actor Adhyayan Suman, aside Amita Pathak. Avant Garde Pythagoras Sharma, released in 2011 was his second Bollywood movie, in which he played the lead role of Pythagoras.

 

Mehta was born on 17 January 1983 in Udaipur, Rajasthan and currently he resides in Mumbai. He belongs to a royal family and is a descendant of King Prithviraj Chauhan of Rajput Chauhan dynasty of Mewar. Nakuul practises Buddhism. In 2012, he married singer Jankee Parekh. While at college, Nakuul started modelling and he completed Master’s in commerce from Mumbai University. He was spotted by director Satish Kaushik who cast in a soft-drink advertisement. Then he appeared in television commercials as well as music videos. Pyaar Hua Hai Pehli Baar and Tumse Hi and Iktara of Jankee are his noted appearances.

 

Though his debut movie was a flop, his charming green eyes grabbed everyone’s attention. It was the launching movie of producer’s daughter, alongside two new heroes. He also appeared in the short film Avant Garde, which was showed in many international film festivals. He appeared alongside Shah Rukh Khan in the Clinic All Clear ad. He is quite active in theatre too and it helped him to get more offers in acting. Till now, he has appeared in more than 50 ads.
