Nagendra Babu Biography

Nagendra Babu is a Telugu film producer and actor belonging to the illustrious film family of Chiranjeevi. Both his brothers Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan are well established actors of Telugu film industry. Both his children Varun Tej Konidela and Niharika Konidela have stepped into the film industry. Allu Rama Lingaiah is his father-in-law while Ram Charan is his nephew. He is a close relative and uncle of film stars Allu Arjun and Allu Sirish - sons of Allu Aravind. He owns a production company, Anjana Productions and his film members and close relatives appear in most of its productions. Nagendra Babu plays negative and character roles most.

Konidela Nagendra Babu was born on 29 October 1961 in Mogalthur, Andhra Pradesh. He was born to to father Venkat Rao Konidala and mother Anjana Devi Konidala. Both his brothers - Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan are great pillars of Telugu film industry. He is married to Padmaja Konidala and has two. His son Varun tej babu Konidala has already entered film scene and daughter Niharika Babu Konidala is to debut big screen very soon. He started his film career as an actor through the movie – Kowravudu, and earned success as well. Since then he received roles from Telugu cinema. The comedy Premabhishekam in the year 2008 was one of his noted appearances. He also featured in Venkatesh starrer - Shadow.

His production career started in the year 1988 with the film - “Rudra Veena” starring Chiranjeevi and Shobana. The film directed by K. Balachander won three National Film Awards including the Best Feature Film on National Integration and was also premiered at the 12th International Film Festival of India. Since then he has produced 8 films. “Trinetrudu” in 1988 was his first major hit as a film producer. “Mugguru Monagallu”, “Bavagaru bagunnara”, “Gudumba Shankar” and “Radha Gopalam” are some of his noted production ventures. He co-produced “Stalin” and 2010 movie ‘Orange’ was his last production venture.
