Mumaith Khan is one of the hottest item girls of Bollywood and South Indian cinema. She is most remembered for the item song, "Dekhle Aankhon Mein Aankhien Daal" of the movie, Munnabhai MBBS sung by Sunidhi Chauhan. The song also featured Jimmy Shergill and proved to be her big break to the entertainment industry. Her second big break was for the movie, Lucky: No time for love, where she appeared in the beginning of the movie as one among Sneha Ullal’s friends. She was also seen in the popular song sung by Asha Bhosle, Lucky Lips. Very soon she got offers from south and has done item songs for numerous movies. "Naa Peru Meenakumari" of Tamil movie, Kanthaswamy sung by Malathi Lakshman is one of her popular songs.

Mumaith Khan is a Maharashtrian, born in Mumbai. She has a story to tell – the rise of a background dancer to one of the top item girls of Indian cinema. ‘Ish Kameena’ is one of the popular songs of Bollywood in which one can spot Mumaith as a background dancer. This dark lady is known as a glamorous and beautiful dancer on big screen. This dance career kicked off at the age of 13 in Remo’s dance group.

She is mostly concentrated to Telugu movies at present. She has done item songs for Telugu movies like Pokiri, Lakshmi Putrudu (2008), Kevvu Keka (2013), Gundello Godari (2012), and Magadheera (2009).
