Megha Ghosh Biography

Megha Ghosh is a very popular and well established actress associated with Oriya film industry. She is of Bengali origin. “Love.com”, “SasuraGharaZindabad”, “Most Wanted”, “Chandini I Miss You”, “Dosti” and “Luchakali” are her most popular Oriya roles. This talented actress has also worked in Bengali and Bhojpuri films. “Gunda Raj”, “BindaasPremi”, “Jor Jar MulakTaar” and “PremekParibaar” are some of her popular Bengali film roles. She acted in Bhojpuri films - “Raja ke raja kise Pyaar ho gai” and “Apanmatiapandesh”. She holds a diploma in acting from Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Lab, Mumbai.

Megha Ghosh was born on July 11th, 1987, in Kolkata. She completed her schooling from Nagendra Smriti Girls High School. She graduated from Bhairab Ganguly College in 2008 and also did a diploma course from Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting School. She is also a trained dancer in Kathak and Western forms from Habiba Dance Academy. Though she is born in Bengal, she is not fluent in Bengali. But she has huge fan following crowd in Bengali. She has done major number of movies in Oriya language.

She started his professional career as a model, which opened her doors to cinema. She started of her career with a south Indian movie. “Yuga Yuga Gale Saagali” in 2007 – her debut film was a major hit. Since then roles came pouring in from three film industries – Bengali, Oriya and Bhojpuri, and she is associated with all these language films. Known as a fast learner among actresses, she has the capability to handle these three languages with ease and good accent.

“Love.Com” opposite Sabyasachi Mishra marked her debut in Oriya film industry. She was given the first break to Oriya film industry by the producer-director Rahat Quddusi. Sasura Ghara Jinadabad, Most Wanted, Chandini I Miss You, Luchakali etc followed her debut flick.
