Meena Mangeshkar Biography 
Meena Mangeshkar, also known as Meena Khadikar is a playback singer and composer of Hindi and Marathi movies. She is one among the great Mangeshkar singers, perhaps the less known name too! She was born as the second daughter of Master Deenanath Mangeshkar and Shevanti. Her siblings are Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Hridaynath Mangeshkar and Usha Mangeshkar. She is also popular for composing various children's songs. In 1973, her popular Marathi composition (children song), "Asawa Sunder Chocolatecha Bangla" was released. It was sung by her son Yogesh. The song became so popular that it was recorded in Gujarati and Bengali languages later. Bengali version was sung by Shaan and Sagarika and its Gujarati version by Shivangi Kolhapure and Sameer Rathod. Another popular composition "Saang Saang Bholanaath" also owns her credit.
Meena was born as the second daughter of Deenanath Mangeshkar and Shevanti. Her father was a well known theater artist, known as an actor, director and singer. He has produced a few movies as well. Initial training of Hindustani music was given to Mangeshkar sisters by none other than their own father. But due to financial instability, he took to drinking habit. Later he was hospitalized and died at a younger age of 41. Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital and research center was made in Pune in memory of this renowned artist. Later the family had to struggle a lot to earn a living. With the success of Mangeshkar sisters in film industry, the family overcame financial problems.
Meena too has performed with her siblings for a few film songs. She has composed many tunes for Marathi music as well. Her popular Marathi songs are Ye Javali Ghe Priyasakhaya Bhagavanta - Mansala Pankh Astat, sung by her sister Lata and Bavarle Mi Bavarle- Ek Hota Raja Beso. Her popular Hindi songs are Fagun aaya- Pilpili Saheb and Hai mausam yeh mastaana muskuraana dil churaana- Aabroo.
