Maria Goretti Biography

Maria Goretti is a very popular video jockey of MTV India and a former model. She is the wife of popular Bollywood actor, Arshad Warsi, most popular for Munnabhai series. They got married in the Valentine day of year 1999. She hosts a TV show, Do It Sweet on the NDTV Good Times channel at present.

Goretti was born into a Roman Catholic family in Goa on 26 January 1972. She was named after Saint Maria Goretti. She married Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi on 14 February 1999. Arshad was a struggling star then, in Bollywood. They met for the first time in 1991 when Arshad judged a dance competition in college in which she was participating. Very soon they found that they were made for each other and got married in the valentine’s day of 1999. The couple has two children. Goretti was a popular MTV VJ before she was married to Arshad Warsi.

Goretti finished graduation from Mumbai’s St Andrew’s College. After that she tried her luck in modelling industry. She also appeared in a few television ads of which Titan and Sunsilk are popular. She was at the career peak when she got married to Arshad in 1999. She was successful in modelling and has just entered MTV as a video jockey. She was also offered a few roles in Bollywood films. Yet she decided to get settled with her family life. She has appeared in one movie, Raghu Romeo, in 2003 which won National award for best regional film in Hindi the same year.

In 2010, one of her friends came up with an idea of starting a blog on cookery. She started her cookery blog and in 2011, she enrolled in UK’s Tante Marie School of Cookery, where she did a three-month course. Now she is the brand ambassador for a prime ice cream brand.
