Maqbool Salmaan Biography 
Maqbool Salmaan is a budding young actor associated with Malayalam cinema. He is better known as the nephew of film star Mammootty and cousin of youth icon Dulquer Salman. His father Ebrahimkutty is a television actor. K. Saajan's directorial venture starring Asif Ali, Asuravithu marked his film role in a supporting role. Aneesh Upasana's directorial debut film Matinee marked his film debut as a lead actor. Mythili played the female lead in this film, and the movie met with critical and commercial success. Since then he has acted in around 10 Malayalam films, though he is still to find a place in the film industry as a successful actor.
He played lead role in Malayalam flicks - Hangover (2014), Parayan Baaki Vechathu (2014) etc which met with commercial failure. Anumol played his female lead in Parayan Baaki Vechathu, while Archana Gupta played his female lead in Hangover. Day Night Game, Oru Korean Padam, Kerala Today, 1000 - Oru Note Paranja Katha, Pachakallam, Appuram Bengal Ippuram Thiruvithamkoor etc are his film roles up-to-date. He is to play lead role in Malayalam-Tamil bilingual, Love Story and Afreen Bhatt plays the female lead. Dhooram is yet another release, where he plays male lead.
He was born in Vaikom of Kottayam district into a star family. His paternal uncle Mammootty rules Malayalam industry for the past three decades. His father Ebrahimkutty too has played a few TV roles. Brought up in a filmy world, he dreamt to become an actor since his younger days. He completed graduation in Hotel Management from Oxford College, Bangalore before he pursued a career in films. Yet he was not willing to take his uncle’s name for film roles. He started attending auditions and got his first film role after one year of efforts.
