Manmeet Singh Biography

Manmeet Singh is a model and character artist of Indian films. He has modeled in more than 120 television commercials, the popular ones being Indiabulls, Make my trip.com and HP TurboJet Diesel. He is a well-known name in the TV commercial field. He also gained limelight when his wife Sunmeet Kaur Sawhney won 5 crore Indian rupees in Kaun Banega Crorepati - Season 6 in January 2013.

Started his Bollywood career with Jungle in 2000, he has appeared in around 25 movies, the popular roles being Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, Kuch Love Jaisa, Band Baaja Baaraat, Hari Puttar, Black & white, Apne, Rang De Basanti, Bombay To Bangkok and Swami. He also acted in one Tamil film - Abhiyum Naanum. He will be seen in a Hollwyood movie soon. The movie title is Heart Land, where he plays the role of Billoo. He played the role of Garage owner Raju in Shah Rukh khan’s blockbuster – Rab ne bana di Jodi.

Singh was born in July 1969 in Haldawani, Nainital. During his schooling in Chandigarh he got interested in singing and acting. He is a big fan of Gurdass Maan. He graduated from G.N. Khalsa College, Mumbai in 1991. He started his career as a model and actor in 1999 and appeared in Bollywood movie of RGV, Jungle in 2000. After that he has portrayed numerous character roles.  He played supporting roles of father and uncle in television serials like Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Dhoom, Kareena Kareena, Rab se Sonha Isshq, Aanchal Ki Chaon Mein, Ye Meri Life Hai and Loomba.
