Manjit Singh Biography
Manjit Singh is an Indian sportsman who concentrates in the game of rowing. He represented India in Men’s Lightweight Double Sculls in the 2012 London Olympics.
Manjit Singh was born on 10th October 1988 in Chandigarh. He was coached by Ismail Baig and Bajrang Lal. He participated in Olympics along with Sandeep Kumar. They have got third place at the FISA Olympic Continental Qualification Regatta for Asia held at Chung Ju in Korea and this fetched them entry into the Olymics 2012.
Manjit also represented India at the Beijing Olympics 2008. He started his basic training in rowing at the Chandigarh Rowing Training Center at Sukhna Lake. The Chandigarh Sports Council coach Arvind Sehgal guided him in his process. In 2012, he ended second last in the event held at Eton Dorney Rowing center.
