Manisha Yadav is a successful model and film actress associated with Tamil cinema. She made her acting debut playing female lead in 2012 Tamil film Vazhakku Enn 18/9, and it is her best film role up-to-date. The movie also earned her a nomination at Vijay Award for Best Debut Actress. She played the lead role of "Aarthi", a Plus Two student in this film. She played the supporting role of Salima Sultan Begum in the popular Hindi TV mythological series - Jodha Akbar, aired on Zee TV.Pattaya Kelappanum Pandiya, AadhalalKadhal Seiveer, Jannal Oram, Trisha Illana Nayanthara etc are other noted film roles. She has also done item songs for the Hindi movie 'MakadJaal' and Marathi film' FultooDhamal'.

She is a Kannadigan, born in Bangalore in the year 1992. She joined the Anupam Kher's Actors Prepares academy in Mumbai to learn acting. Later she moved to Mumbai where she started off with TV serials. Imtihan for Doordarshan was her first break to her acting career. She stayed in the television industry for a while doing less significant roles. Jodha Akbar was a major breakthrough, where she played one of Akbar’s wives, Salima Begum. She came to limelight following this series. She was also seen in Shapath in Life Ok and CID in Sony channel.

She moved towards south where she made her film debut through, Vazhakku Enn 18/9 in 2012. She surprised the audience through her outstanding performance as a plus-two student in this movie. Same year she made her Telugu debut through Tuneega Tuneega in a supporting role. Trisha Illana Nayanthara is her recent release, and she played parallel lead in this film opposite G.V. Prakash Kumar. OruKuppai Kathai and Pottu are her upcoming releases.
