Manimegalai Biography

Manimegalai is a TV host and Video Jockey (VJ) from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, associated with Tamil TV channels. In her profession she is best known for her association with SUN Network, and has hosted many popular shows of Sun Music and Sun TV. She started her career with the show, "Super Hits" on Sun music, 2010, gained recognition through Franka Sollatta in 2012 for Sun Music, and has later anchored the shows for Freeya Vidu, Hot Seat, OMG, BLACK, Vetti Pechu and Kollywood Diaries for the same channel.

Manimegalai was born on May 7, 1990 in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. She belongs to a business family. She has one younger brother. Her childhood days were spent in her hometown. She is married to her long-tirm friend Hussain since December 2017. They had a register marriage, against parents’ wishes. She holds an MBA from SRM University.

She pursued her professional career while doing her academics. Her career as a TV anchor began in 2010, when she anchored the show, "Super Hits" on Sun music. Since then she had a long association with the same musical channel, which earned her a lot of fans and recognition. The show which earned her initial recognition was Franka Sollatta in 2012, and since then she anchored more than half a dozen music shows for Sun Music. She also hosted many chat shows, celebrity chats etc with Sun TV, Sun News and also KTV, at the same time.

She has been one of the leading TV hosts associated with Tamil channels of SUN TV in the past 6-7 years or so. She has co-hosted many shows aside Nisha Krishnan and Anjana Rangan, and ‘Nanbenda Munnottam’ and ‘Pudhu Padam Epdi Irukku’, were immensely popular.
