Mandeep Singh Biography 
Mandeep Singh is an Indian cricketer from Jalandhar, Punjab. He plays for team Punjab in domestic cricket. He has served as the vice-captain of the India Under-19 cricket team for the 2010 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his first class cricket debut in 2010. He plays as a middle-order batsman to his team. He is a right-handed batsman and Right-arm medium pace bowler. He was a team member of India for its tour to Zimbabwe in 2015. Mandeep scored 432 runs from 16 matches in 2012 IPL season, and earned the "Rising Star of the tournament Award".
He is associated with Indian Premier League since 2010, and played his first season for Kolkata Knight Riders. He played for Kings XI Punjab for four seasons since 2011 and in 2015 he played for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Singh has played some outstanding innings in T20 format of Indian Premier League. Till June 2016 he has played 99 T20 matches scoring 1837 runs at a batting average of 25.16 runs. He has also taken three wickets though he is known as a batsman to his team.
Mandeep Singh was born on 18 December 1991 in Jalandhar, Punjab to a Sikh family. His father is an athletics coach in Jalandhar. His father was initially reluctant over his choice of cricket career. But after his performance for India A against South Africa A, he approved his son’s career selection. He made his First-class debut on 17 November 2010 v Himachal Pradesh and List A debut on 10 February 2010 v Haryana.
He is quite active in domestic cricket team and played for Punjab in Ranji Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy. He also plays for North Zone in Other Zonal Tournaments. He displayed some outstanding cricket in 2015, and was the highest run scorer of 2015 Vijay Hazare Trophy. His performance in the series helped him to get selected to Indian team for the foreign tour to Zimbabwe in 2015.
