Malavika Menon Biography

Malavika Menon is a south Indian film actress who works in Tamil and Malayalam films. She made her career debut in 2012 with the film 916, and went on to appear in more than a dozen movies belonging to both these languages. She marked her Tamil film debut with Ivan Veramathiri in 2013, where she played a supporting role in the movie starring Vikram Prabhu, Surbhi, Ganesh Venkatraman, Vamsi Krishna and Hariraj. Currently she is working on the projects - Vethu Vettu & Aruva Sandai (Tamil) and Monsoon (Malayalam).

Malavika Menon hails from Kodungallur of Thrissur district, Kerala, a place which borders with the neighbouring district Ernakulam. She was born on 3 May 1998. She started her film career as a teenager at the age of 14 playing supporting roles, and later did a few lead roles also. She got her first break through Mukesh, Anoop Menon starrer 916 in 2012, where she played the lead female role of a teenager. The movie mainly focused on the relationship between a single father, Dr. Harikrishnan played by Anoop Menon, and his 12th grade daughter Meera, played by Malavika. She also played supporting roles in Nidra and Hero the same year.

Very soon she bagged her first Tamil project through Ivan Veramathiri co-starring Vikram Prabhu, Surbhi etc. Same year she played her first lead role in Tamil films through Vizha, co-starring Mahendran. Bramman, Vethu Vettu, Nijama Nizhala etc are some of her Tamil films later. Sir C. P., John Honai, Buddhanum Chaplinum Chirikkunnu, Devayanam, Hello Dubaikkaran, Njan Marykutty etc are her Malayalam releases later. She is currently playing supporting roles on big screen.
