Mahesh Mahadevan Biography 
Mahesh Mahadevan was a music director of Tamil and Telugu movies, whose work was mostloy concentrated in the 1990’s. He has worked in only lesser number of movies and was mostly associated with ad films and business. Mahesh composed more than 250 popular advertising jingles and a well-known name in the ad film industry. He composed background score for Kamal Hassan movie, Aalavandhan in 2001. Oscar entry, Kuruthipunal is his most noted work as a music director. Vaanam Vasappadum and Nammavar are his other releases in Tamil. He passed away in 2002 at a comparatively young age of 47.
His entry to music field is like a twist or film story. He completed M.B.A. from XLRI, Jamshedpur. Then he worked with corporates such as Hindustan Polymers and India Pistons till he was diagnosed of cancer in the late 1980’s. One of his childhood friends P. Jayendra visited depressed Mahesh at hospital, and he suggested him to revive his music interests, as he was in school. Mahesh showed great promises as a music director during his school days. Jayendra was one of the founding members of Real Image Media Technologies. Very soon Mahesh entered into the world of ad films, and composed more than 250 jingles. Regaul Blue (Sottu Neelam, Doi) besides TVS Tyres and Apollo Tyres are among his most popular ads.
When Real Image Media Technologies developed, Mahesh was given additional responsibilities. He served as the Director, Finance and Administration. From ad jingles to films was a natural transition for the talented Mahesh. His debut movie as a music director was Nammavar starring Kamal Hassan. He has also composed songs for a few Telugu and one Malayalam movie.
