Madhurima Biography

Madhurima is a film actress who has also appeared in a few television serials. Bollywood movie, Toss: A Flip of Destiny (2009) marked her film debut and later she appeared in several Telugu movies. Her full name is Madhurima Chatterjee. She played lead role in Priyadarshan’s comedy, Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal, remake of Malayalam blockbuster ‘Marikkundoru Kunjadu’, where she reprised the lead role played by Bhavana. Shreyas Talpade played lead role in this movie. She is to debut Malayalam with Koothara and Black Coffee. She is to debut Tamil with Eepeeko, remake of the Hindi film Ab Tak Chhappan and Serndhu Polama. Kotha Janta is her upcoming Telugu movie.

 

Madhurima was born and brought up in Mumbai. She was born on May 14, 1987 to a mechanical engineer who has earlier served in Indian Navy. Her mother was researcher in the field of virology before she turned a writer and content writer for several companies. Madhurima holds an LLB degree and has learnt Hindustani classical music and ghazals from her mother. She also learnt Kathak a little bit. She used to sing children songs and in one such occasion, she was spotted by director G. V. Iyer who signed her on for a Hindi television serial Kadambari. But the project didn’t happen due to director’s death. While studying in class 11, she started anchoring television shows and appeared in supporting characters in television serials.

 

She debut big screen with Toss in 2009, where she played supporting role. In this movie, she worked aside Ashmit Patel, Prashant Raj, Rannvijay Singh and Aarti Chhabria. Same year she debut Telugu film industry with Aa Okkadu and appeared in a series of movies. Now a set of movies in south Indian cinema are set to release.
